VISUALIZERSound, made visible

Product facts & methodology

A small tool with clear boundaries.

Audio Visualizer turns local audio into animated canvas graphics. We document how it works, what it supports, and what it does not do.

Our principles

Useful enough to trust

01

State capabilities plainly

The product provides six curated looks, cover artwork, track and artist titles, clip selection, and local video/PNG exports. MP4/WebM availability depends on the browser. Smart recommendations use local rules, not an AI model.

02

Keep audio local

The browser creates a temporary object URL and reads frequency data through the Web Audio API. No upload endpoint is used.

03

Respect platforms and rights

Guides do not encourage stream ripping or credential sharing. Visitors should use audio they own or have permission to publish.

Technical method

How the visualization works

When you press play, the browser's Web Audio API provides frequency-bin values. JavaScript draws frequency-reactive styles and real time-domain waveforms onto an HTML canvas. MediaRecorder combines the canvas stream and audio for local real-time video export. The original file remains local.

  • Canvas rendering in the browser
  • AnalyserNode frequency data
  • No account, database, or upload API
  • PNG snapshot generated from the current canvas

Editorial policy

How the guides are written

Each guide serves a specific workflow instead of repeating the same page with a different keyword.

Platform independence

Spotify and SoundCloud guides clearly state that the tool is independent and does not connect to or download from those services.

Verifiable language

We avoid invented user counts, endorsements, speed claims, and unsupported “best” labels.

Format caveats

Browser codec support and device memory vary. The pages explain these constraints instead of promising universal compatibility.

Maintenance

Material product capability changes should update the homepage, relevant guides, structured data, sitemap dates, and this methodology page together.

Open Audio Visualizer

Privacy · Updated October 15, 2026

Your files stay on your device.

Audio Visualizer processes audio, cover images, titles and artist names locally. We do not send these files, their names, their contents or your entered track details to Google Analytics.

Optional usage analytics

Only after you choose “Allow analytics”, we load Google Analytics 4 to understand page visits and successful tool use. It receives a random browser identifier, page path and language, browser/device information, and actions such as choosing audio, starting creation and completing an export. Export events contain only fixed options such as style, aspect ratio, resolution and format. We strip query strings and fragments from reported page URLs and keep only the origin of a referring website.

Google processes request information, including your IP address, to provide the service; Google’s handling of IP information and regional safeguards is described in its documentation. Google may process analytics data on servers outside your country. See Google’s Privacy Policy and GA4 data safeguards.

Your choice, always

Rejecting analytics does not limit the tool. Until you opt in, no Google Analytics tag loads or analytics requests are sent. We do not enable advertising, Google Signals, user-provided data or user IDs. Analytics is disabled on preview sites and normal QA visits.

Your choice is stored on this device for up to 180 days. Optional _ga cookies expire after up to 180 days; event-level analytics retention is 2 months. Use “Privacy settings” in any footer to change or withdraw your choice. Withdrawal stops future analytics and removes this site’s GA cookies; it does not undo data previously sent. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals disable analytics on page load.

Cloudflare hosts this website and handles network requests needed to deliver it, independently of optional analytics. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy. No audio upload, account registration, advertising or payment processing is part of this tool.
